Exaustion state

Post by Zenke on Fri Oct 07, 2016 5:26 am

Exaustion state-

Every character becomes tired while fighting. This is known as the Exaustion state, a state that can be triggered by a veriety of things, and is controlled by a players stamina. Stamina is chosen at character creation, and effects the strenghts and weaknesses according to the list below.

Average Stamina - 9 posts of straight combat before hitting exaustion. Average stamina does not count as a strenght or weakness.
Low stamina - 7 posts of straight combat before hitting exaustion. this is a weakness, should be included in weaknesses, and can be used to balance out your strengths.
High stamina - 11 posts of straight combat before hitting exaustion. This is a strength, should be included in strengths, so remember to balance it with a weakness.

When a character hits exaustion, they're power begins to decline rapidly. There are 3 stages of exaustion, as follows.

Exaustion Stage 1- Your character is tired, they're fighting ability drops to 75%. You can no longer use Elemental/material manipulations, such as fire or water manipulation, and bone or crystal manipulation. After 3 posts of straight combat, you hit exaustion stage 2.
Exaustion Stage 2- Your chracter is fatiqued, and on top of their ruduced fighting ability, they can no longer use powers 4 post cooldowns or higher. After 3 straight posts of combat, you hit Exaustion stage 3.
Exaustion Stage 3- Your character is exausted. You can only use powers with 2 posts cooldown or lower, and your fighting ability has dropped to 50%. After 3 posts more of straight combat, you pass out from exaustion.

-High intensity power usage-

When fighting, every power you use will effect your stamina, and overusing high cooldown powers will result in a in your stamina being reduced by 1 post. For instance, if a character uses a 4 post cooldown ability, they are unable to use an ability with a cooldown higher than that in the next post. If they do, it results in a 1 post stamina reduction. For example if you have average stamina, and you do this on your 3rd post, you would only have 5 posts of combat before hitting exastion stage, instead of 6.

5 post cooldown or higher- using another in ability with a cooldown as high or higher in the same or following post results in a 1 post stamina reduction.
4 post cooldown- using another in ability with a cooldown as high or higher in the same or following post results in a 1 post stamina reduction.
3 post - you can use up to 2 of these in the same post, anymore will result in a 1 post stamina reduction.
2 post- you can use up to 3 of these in the same post. anymore will result in a 1 post stamina reduction.
1 post - you can use up to 5 of these in the same post. anymore will result in a 1 post stamina reduction.
no cooldown- using a no cooldown ability more than 10 times in one post results in a 1 post stamina reduction.

The cooldown of an ability is what decides this, which is why we're very careful when placing a cooldown on an ability. If its lower than it should be, it allows a player to use more powerful attacks faster, making the fight less fair on the other person. If its higher than it should be, you get the opposite result. Players set the cooldowns, but staff may decide something is to high or low. Always obay staff's decisions on the matter.
